A little about me

After many life experiences, including nearly 20 years of public service in the military and state government, I went into the counseling field with a desire to help others based on my own past experiences. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Idaho and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I have been a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor since 2014 and a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2022, earning my Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor license in 2025. My areas of specialization have expanded from substance abuse to other areas, including anxiety, depression and trauma. I believe everyone is their own expert on how to change - sometimes we just need a different perspective. I take a holistic approach to supporting change. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but also take an integrative approach, combing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and other modalities, to meet client needs.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and doing anything related to β€œthe great outdoors,” including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and wind-therapy on my Harley.
